Welcome to the 2016 Northants 5k Race Series. The series is now in its fourth year and has become embedded in the county's annual running calendar. With hundreds of runners taking part in the 2015 event, including regular club runners, jogging groups and even those who are completely new to running; the 5k Race Series offers something for everyone.

The 2016 Series will include four races across four very different venues, on different terrains.

The Corby race is likely to be one of the scoring races within the County Road Running League.

  • Sunday 17th April 2016 - Corby 10.30am

  • Sunday 22nd May 2016 - Irchester Country Park 10.30am

  • Friday 3rd June 2016 - Wellingborough 7.30pm

  • Friday 24th June 2016 - Salcey Forest 7.30pm

The popular 5km race distance is suitable for people of all running abilities aged 11 years and over on race day (11 and 12 year olds must be accompanied by an adult entrant).

Routes: Each of the four course routes are very different:
Corby – on road & off road route
Irchester - multi-terrain course through parkland
Wellingborough - multi-terrain course through parkland
Salcey – multi-terrain course through woodland

Distances: All four courses are 5km, which have been measured, certified and licensed by UK Athletics.

Fees: Affordable and not restrictive.
Affiliated: online £8 or £10 on the day
Unaffilliated: online £10 or on the day £12

Three Races: Affiliated: £21 Unaffiliated: £27
Four Races: Affiliated: £27 Unaffiliated: £33

Entry Categories: Individual or Team. Teams can be made up any mix of men and women, who can race to win one of the Team Challenge prizes. The winning team will be decided by the least cumulative finishing position of the four fastest runners in that team.
